TEACH is awarded the Society for Science & the Public Grant

TEACH is very excited to share that we’ve been awarded the STEM Action Grant from the Society for Science & the Public. The STEM Action Grant provides funds to innovative organizations that support community-based STEM projects and allows us to continue our STEM education work.

Together Educating All Children in Hospitals (TEACH), (Staten Island, NY), a student-run organization founded in 2013, will receive a $2,500 grant from the Society to support their efforts to creatively engage hospitalized children ages three to twenty-one across the country. TEACH provides children, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and their visiting siblings with access to activities that seek to instill self-confidence and spark an interest in science. The funds will be used to expand the program by three to five branches over the next year.
